Transfers as a part timer

29 Jul 2020, 23:36

I'm currently on a Saturday only contract, but applying for a 30 hour contract at another location, in a different role.
Will I be able to apply for a transfer to the (full time)role I really want from there, or does my part time status still prevent this? (A manager who tried to transfer me in from my Saturday role to the full time role im wanting was told no by HR because of my Saturday contract and the disparity between the two roles in pay).

So a transfer to a full time job is still 'against the rules'?

If nobody more senior than you wants it then the job should be yours, I think it will have to be advertised though. Find the reps number of the office you want to transfer to and get them on the case.
