I have an interview on Wednesday in the company. I am part time and start at 9am. The interview is at 1 so realistically I should leave at 11 to get ready. I have been given the option of coming in at 6am or taking unpaid leave. Surely if the interview is for progression in the company I shouldn't have to chose either of these.... or am I wrong?

If it's an interview within the business, then you shouldn't have to make time up/use annual leave/or take it unpaid....
