Well you could be putting yourself at risk but if they can make it worth your time with a realistic hourly rate why not!

They can ask you to do whatever lapsed duty they want if you have time, why would you get a special hr rate to work up your time?

Latest finish 15:30, not actually gone over duty hours yet since this has kicked off so not claimed OT other than working one of my days off to cover sickness. We are not using private cars in our office (rural singleton duties so we don't van share)

An hour over time on Saturday to clear my walk....got paid overtime for it.

No overtime today ....ended up bringing back two whole loops of mail but cleared the packets.

Busier than Xmas and still expecting us to lapse and double lapse....total joke.

I'm doing 12 hours most days now. But trying to do extra (for the money) I've knackered myself as I have the worst shin splints I've ever had. Realised today I'm no longer 18 years old

6pm here, but that inculded double-lapsing as well. Might as well have the word "mug" imprinted on my forehead. I'm sorting and prepping not only my walk but also a walk for a guy who's working out from his house, which of course takes extra time before I even drive out of the office.

Up until now no overtime has been paid so no overtime has been worked. The lapsed duties have been unlapsed as theyre closest to the office and can be done on foot with a trolley. Big tracked are taken by dedicated parcel duty drivers and if you finish early you take out a bundle or two to deliver on your way home. As was predicted the callers office staff are being used to plug any gaps but they're being run ragged. I foresee pisstaking by management ramping up.

Started at 13:30, finished at 18:45pm yesterday. Had to bring back well over 20+ normal parcels as the workload was ridiculous. I couldn't complete the duty in time as my office closes at 7pm.
