All part of the merry dance the business and the union do each time theres a dispute

Just in case the union would dare try that trick - ODM without those proposals thrown in is still not acceptable. You said it was dead before they put those propsals out there so it wont be a win if its ODM but with seniority staying or Sats not being longer.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Just ignore all those silly points, Royal Mail don’t really want or expect to get them. Take the no seniority and manager picking who covers what duty as an example, I mean which DO manager in their right mind would want that? None. Ours would just do a normal repick even if it wasn’t official agreement, it’s less hassle and grief for them and would cause less backlash from us grunts.
Royal Mail want the ODM and they will get it one way or the other. The union releasing this scary document is so they can say LOOK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED when the ODM is rammed down our throats and they can’t stop it.

I do suspect the company is engaged in their old trick of making a huge list of exorbitant demands when they only want one thing per dispute, knowing it'll be whittled down to just that. Everyone wins, though the garotte tightens.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

I don't really get what the alternative is?

Heavy and light doesn't get the required savings RM want. So what else is left? They'll just say the business is financially struggling, if you strike job losses.

Quite simply, the savings they want are unrealistic and a short term money grab.
A proper, independent study would have told them that, but by using ‘failed postmen’ who became ‘failed planners’’ to develop a plan to meet a number was never going to work

No one's going to believe a word that the CWU says unless it publishes the full details and minutes of the meetings it's having.

Releasing just the RM DRP will do for starters?

It would be a coms dream to get rid of seniority they could put who they want wherever,it would be obviously unfair to all the workforce but most of the coms wouldn't be bothered what you or I think.
