Post from South Korea in GBLALA

Post by DevilIsAnEnglishman »

Hello,

for 10 days now my parcel coming from South Korea is stuck at GBLALA and I'm getting rather fed up with waiting.
How long does it take for a parcel to be scanned at Heathrow, in order to be delivered to an address in London???
Has anyone here ever expected a parcel from South Korea and has experienced the same thing?

Regards,

Alec

Does it mean, I have to wait until August 15th, as it arrived at GBLALA on July 15th?
(As I'm writing this, it still hasn't arrived.)
Why is there a delay? Are they going on strike again?

What do you mean by 'they'? The HMRC workers? I don't think so. Maybe you should contact HM Revenue and Customs?

If the HMRC workers are at GBLALA, yes I do mean them.
If nothing still appears on Monday, I'll give them a ring, because I've had enough of waiting!

Yes, I'm still waiting. Oddly, all parcels from Germany, where half my family lives, arrive without a hitch. So why are they taking so long for South Korean post? I think both you and I should ring HM Revenue & Customs.

Until customs release an item to RM, there is absolutely nothing that RM can do

Yes, I found that out before I read your post. But what they also said was that I should contact the sender through eBay (in my case) and find out what's wrong.

Yes, what he did say was that it did arrive at customs (which wasn't true). So then I got tired of waiting and asked for a refund and then only today, this is what he came back with:

19:20 15-Jul-2013 Arrival at inward office of exchange GBLALA
12:19 12-Aug-2013 Unsuccessful delivery W 3
Reason : Other
Result : Attempted delivery
12:29 12-Aug-2013 Unsuccessful delivery W 3
Reason : Unclaimed by addressee
Result : Item returned to sender

Now does that mean it's been at my local post office in Acton, where I live?

Or do you think I might have made a mistake? If I did, is there any way of getting it to me after all?

No according to that there was only 10 minutes between Attempted delivery and being returned to sender. Those scans seem a little suspect as RM hold on to all items for 18 days not 18 minutes :chuckle
