I'm self-employed and this Royal Mail Christmas Casual position is my second job.
I was taxed with my first pay slip. I contacted HMRC who passed on a new tax code to Royal Mail. HMRC told me I would be refunded the tax on my second slip and wouldn't pay it again. Guess what, I was not refunded and I'm still being taxed.
I contacted HMRC again and they told me it might take ten days for the new tax code to take effect, and suggested I contact Royal Mail.
The only way for me to contact Royal Mail about this issue is through an email address which only appears to reply with a meaningless automated response.
Who can I speak to or contact to sort this out?
Many thanks for your help.
